I have an LG 42″ plasma tv that I bought in Germany. The model # is LG 42PQ2000. Will it work in the USA?

Your best bet is to sell it there before coming to the U.S.A. The a.c. power input may be switchable between the 240v used in Europe and the 120v used in North America. However, the digital video standards are incompatible. You’d need to come up with a ATSC to DVB-T converter to receive any channels, and you’d need to deal with the power mismatch if the set can’t handle 120v.

Followup: I wouldn’t count on the German TV working with set-top-box systems in the U.S. There are more differences between the two standards than just the tuner. I’d definitely sell it there and buy a new one in the U.S. to eliminate all concerns.
